i just had a rifle put together on a 7.62mm forged reciever (pretty nice if you ask me) but anyway, when i go to shoot the rifle, i can pull the trigger and a shot goes off... as i let off the trigger it will fire another shot, the trigger group is a h&r, i guess i dont know what could be wrong, it isnt like a ar trigger that stuff can be put in backwards by accident

Trigger hooks not fitted....the sear is holding the hammer rearward and when you let up on the trigger, the "hand off" from the sear back to the trigger catching the hammer's hooks is missing.

You need to have a gunsmith familiar with the M1 or M14 (M1A) look over the parts and have them fitted to work correctly again.

Yep. Sounds like Gomer did one a them there fancy trigger jobs on it. The secondary sear (disconnetor) is too far away from the primary sear.

With some judicious filling on the point of the trigger where the disconnetor rests, you can restore this gap. You can also control the engagement of the sear for the second stage let off. This is actually one technique for changing the characteristics of the two stage trigger. When you take the primary sear too far forward and then adjust the disconnector in this manner, you're loading more of the 4.5 pounds in the first stage (because of the angles and mechanical advantage change in how the trigger overcomes the return spring pressure as well as some other geometry that's too complicated to go into without prints in front of you). With more of the trigger force loaded into the first stage, the second stage (letoff) feels lighter.

The above paragraph is only valid if, in fact, it was the primary sear that was monkeyed with. If your hammer hooks are damaged or there is damage to the disconnector, there will be further action necessary.
