My friend has an Alpine M1 carbine for sale with a few mags and some ammo. Is $300 a decent price? I'm thinking of buying it.

alpine was one of the first commercial makers of a carbine reciever- they were known to use all gi parts in the builds- so all the gi parts alone would be worth 300 bucks!

Thanks. No sling, oiler, or bayo lug but the finish is decent and and those parts aren't expensive if I want them.

I had one.  It was the first rifle I bought.  It was a decent shooter.  Shot better than two of the GI carbines I got later on.  At $300 I would buy it.  Its worth it for the parts alone.
