I'm looking to add a Harris bipod to my M14 project, but my searches are coming up fairly empty.

So I'm wondering, does anyone know of any stock accessories that will allow a harris bipod to be mounted without too much modification? I think there is a rail piece available that attaches on the front sling swivel base, for example.

Thanks in advance.

I put a detachable swivel post in my stock and put the bipod on that.  I used the AR15 bipod adaptor kit.  Just had to grind a little bit out of the bottom of the stock to clear the gas tube and then epoxied it down in the stock after tightening the post up in the plate.

They have their detractors, but I have found the original design to be quite serviceable.

Check out the Sadlak Industries QD post and rail pieces that replace the USGI front sling swivel. www.sadlak.com

I just received my Sadlak Q/D post and will be installing it in a Springfield commercial fat stock this week. Looks like a very solid and well thought out mount. With attention to the little details.
