I don't have any optics on my M1A so I have no experience in the matter but this thread is about a burris pistol scope http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=6&f=6&t=241015

I'm using the M8 from UltiMAK with an Aimpoint Micro T-1 on one of my 18" M14s.

It's compact and I have no problem co-witnessing my irons sights through the optic.

I have a Leupold 2.5 X 8 handgun scope on mine and love it.

I use Leupold QD rings and replaced the Springfield forward mount on mine with an aftermarket rail.

If I wasnt such a stickler for illuminated reticles that would be what I would get.

Nice rifle. That is pretty much what mine looks like except mine still sports the wood stock.

That's a USGI synthetic stock with HalfMOA's rigid rail modification (RRM).
The modification is great, the guy that performed the mod... not so great.

I do wish Leupold would illuminate the reticle on their Scout scopes.

My M1 Garand. Ameaga Ranges mount and a cheap 2X8 pistol scope. It works great and shoot great. I have a set of Warne QD rings on it. I've taken the scope of a few times and put it back on and its still sighted in when it goes back on the mount.

How are the Scout type mounts that clamp to the barrel? I was thinking in getting one since they're better integrated than a side scope mount.

Centerfire Systems Universal Cheek Rest

It's actually something they market for FALs but it works on the GI synthetic. You just need to use some strong setting adhesive in addition to the screws.
