Guys I recently picked up a Springfield m1a reciever and NM barrel. My gunsmith has it right now waiting for me to specify what I want done. Any suggestions?

Are you putting a custom stock on it?

Edited because I didn't read the post thoroughly the first time.

Well do you want a paper puncher or a carry friendly varmint cure?

I'm not going to go crazy with a Sage or JAE or anything like that. I want good accuracy but it doesn't have to be minute-of-fly's ass. I've got one of the composite springfield stocks with a Desert Warrior Products cheek rest installed. I thought I'd start from there. I know it takes some effort to make these things run well.

Best thing about the m1a platform is that they are tunable. I would have my gas system unitized, my muzzle device reemed out to nm size and throw it in a stock and see how it shoots. Good luck and lets see some pics when you get it together.

How do I unitize the gas system?  I've never heard of that. I'll post some pictures eventually I hope.
The guy building it up for me is in Georgia and I live in Tennessee. He just sent me 4 new rifles he did for me, so now he can start on the M1
