Ok, I have a dilemma. I know a dealer that goes to my gun clubs gun shows twice per year. I was trying to work a deal for a used Socom II (that was listed for $1200) by trading my two AR 15's valued @ $1600. The 1st dealer wanted my two guns plus cash that i did'nt have so that deal fell thru. Another dealer that I've done bussiness with in the past came over and asked if  he might be able to help me so I asked if he could get me a Socom II. He said yes in about a week and also had someone there who wanted my guns. So I sold them to the buyer and the buyer wrote a check on the spot for $1675.00 and gave the dealer a check. Well fast forward to may 31st and still no gun he keeps making excueses as to why he hasn't got my gun yet (but still swears that he has ordered it) Is Springfield having a hard time building these? I found one here used with 80 rds thru it for $1750 so I'm getting ready to ask for my money back because I'm getting tired of waiting It's been around 4 months now and I'm getting the feeling that this is going to go bad for me and he's going to try to screw me out of my money, What can I do
Thx in advance.

WOW 71 looks and NO Opinons thx Grrrrrr....

Bummer... should have taken the check and given the dealer your credit card number.

Tell the dealer he has a week to produce your rifle or that he should send you a check in the mail.

If the dealer doesn't play ball, you only have the standard options of complaining when you pay in cash/check.

Sorry.

try calling springfield too see if you can get some info on current delays for that rifle
some of them are a little slow these days, and its taking them longer to get the guns out.
but atleast if you can find out the current delays from the manufacture, you may have better grounds to complain

i know this time last year kimber was 3-6 months behind
so could be the same deal with springfield right now

i got lucky and grabbed my socom II used in really good condition

Thats what I'm doing now I found a really nice used Gun here in the Equipment Exchange so I'm going that route.

I'm seeing new SOCOM II's on gunbroker.com from time to time so I know they are available. I just acquired a Scout from a dealer in VA and he had a SOCOM II available also

Get your money back & get an FFL lined up to handle the transfer, shop around & get one from a reliable source - no sense waiting when you can be playing.
