I have one and would recommended it if you have plenty of time to wait for it. I ordered mine in Dec 2008 and recieved it in May 2010. I was told it would be at my doorstep in March when I returned from deployment but... Also, I would get verbal assuance that every option/feature is available. Specifically, I ordered the Q/D cheekrest as an option and am STILL waiting for it. Yup still waiting for it after ordering in 2008. I was charged for it when originally placed my order but, after a few check ups with the customer service rep I found out that the Q/D cheekrest has yet to be be manufactured. It's one nice stock though.

The line on JAE stocks seems to be:
- quality is GTG - accuracy is excellent - weight is heavy - aesthetics are sexy as hell - price is expensive but you get your money's worth - shipping/delivery takes forever - if you're looking to make your M14 into a dedicated long range platform, it's wonderful - good mate for a heavy or NM barrel - it kind of takes the rifle out of the realm of reasonability for CQB though hope this helps. |

I ordered a JEA 100 G2 from their "Want it now" list and I received it within three weeks of the order date. I had a SA M1A, NM model built in 1997 which I enjoyed shooting very much. I felt a mod stock would make it a better shooter, the "setback" with the JAE stock is that the operator will never be able to shoot as good as the rifle is capable of shooting. The "barrel tensioner" does everything they say and the Butt Pad makes the recoil feel less than my AR15. I absolutely feel the stock was worth every cent I paid for it. Also, everything PercentMan mentioned is on the money, The M1A cost the lives of many GI's during WWII while doing CQB. By the way, when you call you will probably speak with Lisa who is an expert on the product and a pleasure to deal with. I had a few questions as I was doing the conversion and Lisa picked up the phone when I called and talked me through the process in question. You can't go wrong with JAE. |
