I was thinking of dropping my long range rig (rear lugged receiver and mid barrel) into a Sage. my question is: would any thing be gained by using a rear lugged receiver in the Sage? or is it just a waste of time and i could get the same stability out of a non lugged receiver?

A lugged receiver will not fit into a Sage International M14 EBR stock. You can get the factory top rail to fit the medium barrel but the receiver lug makes this project a NO GO.
