I have an old M1 with a badly cracked stock.
I'm trying to find a replacement but most people say there stock won't fit with Universal M1s.
Amy suggestions???

Having both GI M1 and Universal carbines at one time my guess is that it will be a close enough match. You might need to do a little inside fitting.

Is the universal bigger or smaller than normal(G.I.)?

It depends the older universals were just copies of the GI carbine put to gather on their cast receivers. The newer ones had a different gas block that I think was larger.

I think the newer ones had a doulble recoil spring set up.

Am I fucked?
I would really like to make this thing look nice again, I shoots great but I need a stock.
Found a couple great stocks online but the first 2 guys I spoke with say their stock won't work with Universals.
