It is just too high for me to want to bite, I can definitely reload cheaper than that...and the 240rd cans cost more per round and aren't on clips!

more for me

I want a Garand now.  Is this the cheapest you can get .30-06?

Un fortunatly it went up like all other ammo. I ordered 3 cans since I dont have any and my first garand will be here soon. I have the equipment to reload...just not the time. I can get to the bench every few weeks so having something on hand to shoot makes it worth it fo me.

yup, Woot,

What that is too much.

I paid $96 for 240rds 5 months ago.

I want to know what the resalers are going to charge.

I placed an order yesterday for 3/192 rd. on clips cans.
Yea, the price has gone, .54/rd., up but what ammo hasn't? It's still not too bad for military M2 ball.
My first lot last March cost me .3125/rd. for the 192 rd. can before tax picked up in Anniston.
The second lot cost me .2791/rd. for the 240 rd. can before shipping.
The third was .390/rd. for the 192 rd. can before shipping.
I will buy 3 cans a month until I reach my 10 can limit for the year, which is still in place until CMP determines just how much they will actually get.
Yes, I reload, have done so for 47 years but I still like to shoot ball thru my M1s.

Its still a good deal for what you are getting . Price is compareable to 7.62 surplus.

Broken down, it comes to $25.92 including shipping for a bandoleer of 48 rds. Not too bad for a nice range session with the ol' girl.

x54r?

I would imagine the 240 round cases pricing more because you get the wooden crate with those?

They don't ship the spam cans in the wooden crate anymore.  Last time they had the empty wooden crates for sale but they are not listed as such on the e-store right now.

You need to have an account and be logged in to seee the prices I believe. Ammo has some requirements to buy like the rifles.

Yeah I purchased a rifle logged into my account and still nothing.

about $10/20, not bad.  Not what I was hoping for but about what I was expecting.

Everytime I log into my account and check my cart it is listed in my cart but it shows price $0.00 so does that mean it is free for me????

might try clearing your cache, temp files, cookies, etc.

Does it take a month plus to receive ammo like it does rifles? Might finally do my paperwork to qualify, would likely order ammo before ordering a rifle.

If your dry, I guess about as good as any.  But at that price, I think I'll pass

Glad I got my 240 round cans for, what was it, $75 or $80? That's a tremendous jump in price.

I finally got to order some from my home computer much better than the price I would have paid for the American Eagle brand M1 ammo through Cabelas.

And yet it is still the cheapest M2 Ball available...

And, the 192 rounds in a spam can is even a better buy.............

BECAUSE...........of the clips and bandolier.

BTW, remember that.........the 10 can limit is still in effect.

Aloha, Mark

PS............IIRC, last year............

Using the price of the 240 rds spam can.............to figure out a "base line cost per round."

When I compared the purchase of 240 rds w/o clips vs. 192 rds w/ clips..........the clips were an added cost of about .36-.37 per clip.  And, that wasn't counting anything for the bandolier.

Then later, there was the reusable GI ammo cans vs. spam cans.

Oh well............IMHO, buy it now (and have no regrets later). Because in the past........the ammo prices, as well as the shippping prices, only went in one direction.

FWIW...........

02-27-09..............407 spam can 192 rds in clips.................$60 and $8.95 shipping

06-06-09..............407D USGI style can 192 rds in clips........$75 and $8.95 shipping

Aloha, Mark
