One of the pins in my brothers trigger group broke. I thought I'd ask in here if anyone knows a good place to look for small parts. Couldn't find it at Brownells.
Thanks |

| Ship that thing off to SEI and have them upgrade it with their M14/M21A5 C-IED 4.5 lb MAX-PAK |

Never misses an opportunity! The guy needs a $1-2 pin which I'm betting SAInc would probably mail to him. |

It's a complete upgrade - not just a cheap replacement pin and it's outstanding. You missed a golden opportunity to learn something and you are attempting to deny others the opportunity to learn. |

I've heard of up-selling, but taking it from a $35(!) pin and spring kit to a $225(!) trigger group overhaul is a bit much. This guy can very likely get the part from SA for free, or for a fraction of the $35(!) that SEI wants for their kit. |

I recommended the upgrade as an option... some guys are satisfied with the cheap, same-old, same-old... I'm not. I own four trigger groups with SEI's MAX PAK, two are TRW and two are Chinese. I compared them to a NM trigger job from Springfield's custom shop and a NM trigger job from WarBird. All four of the SEI upgraded trigger groups that I own are outstanding triggers, better than the ones they replaced. |

The guy posts here, asking about a $5 (maybe) pin, and you suggest a $225 "option"? Now, no offense, and I'm sure it's a wonderful upgrade, but don't you think the "option" is a bit overboard, price-wise? |

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=157449466 I've used this guy and he's very nice. Pins are new production and you can use the hammer and trigger pin http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=157828314 I have no interest in any of these auctions |

[ url]––––- [/ url] ,close bracket spacing for live hot link, I did that so they show up here Having replaced bent trigger and hammer pins and bad connector locks, I consider $35 a bargain and am serious about these parts being precision made, of top quality material that exceeds the GI standard and are .mil issue on some rifles fielded. |

No offense, but you seem to want everyone to go cheap and you seem to have a problem with everything that's not 100% traditional. |

Hey, I'm not much of a traditionalist either H2O man but that was kind of a leap By the way, I don't care if my links are hot or not. I'm already spoon feeding some information and to copy and past freely given data should not be much of a chore. Feel the love |

I just thought it was hilariously over the top, considering all he wanted was a $5 pin and all....... Anyways, I've no first-hand experience with the upgrade you suggested. I've been doing trigger jobs on M1s and M1As (among other firearms) for a while, so I probably won't need to use their services on that particular item. Maybe something else, who knows? |

I'm waiting for him to tell you your kitchen table hack job is not in the same league as SEI. PS raf I'm not cracking on your trigger jobs. This is just another SEI suckoff,......all over a god damned pin! Priceless. |

I'm already spoon feeding some information and to copy and past freely given data should not be much of a chore. Feel the love Hey 54 posts and all you are feeding is overpriced yourownself. here is a bit more spoon feeding, Bill Ricca sells trigger pins for $2.00 each, I buy these 15 at a time, shipping is $7, that makes them $2.47 each my cost and sell them for $4 to people who need them in my area but hey, the guy COULD send the trigger pin back to Spring Inc.. wait about 10 days and they will send him a replacement absopositively free of any more charges than the cost of his shipping the pin back.. http://www.billricca.com/m1_m14.htm It isn't too much spoon feeding to take a few extra seconds off your busy schedule to make your links hot. |

Of course you can get SAI to get you your pin, no problem, that's what I'd do http://www.springfield-armory.com/ You can also get one from Sarco http://www.sarcoinc.com/m1g.html Did someone mention post count? LMAO Yep, I did and you're well on your way to having the reputation of being a troll,,,, Shine on silver star. |
| Yah, I'm a troll all right. I have my name out in the open and I won't conform to anyone who tells me how to put a link up to help a guy out. If you don't like it I really couldn't care any less. Trying to associate a persons post count with anything knowledge related is just silly. Now have a great day and feel some love, whoever you are. |

Their rules, not mine, and they pay me so I honor their wishes. Trying to help you out with a bit of forum etiquette, you need it silver star, don't want it, don't care, but plan on getting a lot of grief from other posters with your higher than thou posting style. Oh by the way H20 Man runs hissown forum dedicated to EBR M14 style rifles, good guy and he ain't bragging either. Have a nice day. |

I do know this though, when someone asks for cash and I hand them a wad of money they shouldn't complain that it's not stacked and placed in bands. That's the etiquette I know and if you don't like it, again, I couldn't care any less. Your resume is lovely but it doesn't explain someone saying "if you're not going to make "X" hot then don't bother". That's what I define as a "higher than thou posting style". Now, to keep you from trolling me further, I'll be blocking you if this forum allows it. |

Enough CoC violations to justify locking this, and entirely aside from one directed at myself.
OP has his question answered, and then some. Some of you might want to remember that this is a Tech Forum, and not GD. Some of you could have been sanctioned for your behavior in this thread. Consider yourselves warned. |
