Any thought on the JAE stocks for the M14??  i am looking to build a M14/M1A from the ground up and want it accurate out to about 400-500 yards.

I almost got one for my scout, but decided on a Sage Mod 1 instead.  I have read good things about them in the accuracy department, only negatives I heard are weight (heavy), and lead time to get one.

The SAGE Mod 1 stock is pounds lighter than the JAE.
Plenty of information available on The M14HDW Forum.

Almost went with that stock. I just had to have walnut though. Nice thing about the JAE is that it allows you to have a heavy match barrel. Sage won't. It's been a while, but if memory serves me you can have a double lugged receiver on it though it isn't going to make a differance. Cost is high and you'll probably are going to wait a while for it. If you go over to the firing line forums a guy by the name  "NoExpert" built his with that stock. A good source of info from him...
