Gentlemen,

I just got a shipment of 5 ammo cans from the CMP, 2 sealed tins of M2 and 3 of the standard ammo cans with the clipped greek. Here's my question:

THe sealed tins indicate the lot as HXP 4067-78 (as do the cans). Does this mean the ammo was manufactured in 1978? The rounds in the standard cans indicate 78 on the headstamp but I don't want ot pop open the spam cans. The ammo in the standard cans is freakin beautiful, I pulled a couple of clips and they literally look brand new. Is there any feedback on this particular lot? Positives or negatives? I've only put LC through my Garand, no experience with the Greek.

Thanks for the input guys, it's appreciated.

Regards,

You are correct.  It's very good ammo, but a bit dirty IMHO.
