I have a coworker that has an M1A. We were shooting recently and he just loved shooting the CompM4 on my AR. He wants one now for his M1A. I'm not a big M1A guy so could I get some recommendations on mounting a red dot sight on his M1A? Just wanna be able to steer him in the right direction.
I'm thinking of recommending the CompML3 for him but he might think that's a little too high. |
| I used to use an M-68 on my M-14 back in OIF 4-7. I had the option of using the KAC Rail System, but found that it complicated disassembly for routine maintenance. I did try using the ARMS #18 mount, but found that it also complicated disassembly, so ended up using the issue SEI scope mount and a BHI Cheek Piece to get the proper eye alignment. Scope sat a little high, but was still a practical set up in the MOUT environment |

Heres my CompML3.. in an Arms mount
Sits a bit high, but a normal cheek pad works. http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn320/merllin231/New%20Builds/P1040096_1024x768.jpg |
