Grease the bolt roller, the lugs' cut out in the op-rod and the op rod channel. the top of the rear of the bolt(circular part), back side of both lugs, the bottom of the bolt and the top of the hammer(where they make contact), and the bottom of the barrel where the op-rod probably makes contact. I'm sure I missed a spot or two so go shoot a hundred rounds and then look for more spots to grease indicated by marks in the parkerizing. A thin film of grease is all that is needed, you don't need gobs of it. You want to grease it wherever metal slides or rotates, oil everything else.
I would think your safety will loosen up some with use. You're not trying to safe it with the hammer down are you? |

Almost identical to the grease points on a Garand.

Congrats! Some stuff you're gonna want to get if you don't already know:
Badger ordnace bolt roller greaser or use a cut-down .45 case Dewey muzzle bore guide Gas cylinder wrench from Fulton Armory (others have them but not as cheap). Sadlak drill bits for cleaning the gas piston (or search for the post on using McMaster drill bits on the cheap) Flash suppressor pliers Multi-tool for disassembling bolt ETA: After you upgrade the sights, get a NM hooded rear aperture from Fulton if you wanna shoot long range. Really nice piece. Match it with a .062 NM front sight. |
| Thanks for the helpfull tips! I am also going to change out the flash suppressor due to it being drilled out to look like a compensator (bubba'd), but also cause I want it to look like the original GI version. I have seen others mention 922(r) compliance before putting on the GI style, whats the deal there? |

I have to ask about the bolt, I have the multi-tool but have never taken the bolt apart I am kinda afraid I wont be able to get it back together and I really have no idea how to use it to take the bolt apart ? |
