| I have a SAI standard and want to slowly start changing out some of the parts for better accuracy. I'm looking for your suggestions. Op-rod, bedding, flash suppressor. Whats the biggest bang for the buck? |
| FIRST..................What is the accuracy you now have.........Second what accuracy do you want to achieve. My scoped Norinco with low budjet mods and attention to proper fit of all part's consistantly produces just over 1 moa. trying to achieve better would be possible but very costly and difficult to maintain. Most new production SAI rifle's in standard Boyds stock's have an out of the box accuracy of around 2 moa in my experiance with them. Early springer's with USGI part's proffesionally built in bedded stock's have been scary accurate. One I shot recently was 1/2 moa. No joke. Shoot it with good ammo. If it is in the range of 1.5 to 2.5. You may tighten it up some by careful assembly and improving overall stock fit. If it's 1/2 moa you want send it off to the best smith you can find with instruction's that money is no object. |
