I just received confirmation that my order for a service grade Garand is being processed. I want to know should i order ammo with or without the clips for it? Thanks

The boxed stuff will probably show some light corrosion from the cardboard.  Boxed is a little cheaper per round, but the value of the clips and bandos more than offset the price difference.   FWIW, if you get late-headstamp HXP (post 70-ish) the clips will be Greek made, marked JMO.  The JMO clips are designed to work with the wider, NATO-style extractor groove on late-headstamp brass.   Quality is hit and miss with JMOs.  As a result, they do not like the narrow extractor groove on early headstamp HXP or the US-made LC.  Early headstamp HXP clips are mostly USGI and will work with the wide or narrow groove.

I just got 10 cans of the "boxed" HXP marked "68"   .   Out of 2400 rounds, I discarded SEVEN (7)  rounds  !!!    Pretty good ratio.  The rest looked in great shape.

I ordered 4 cans of the HXP 69 in boxes and upon inspection I did not have one bad round.

You should have ordered ammo with your Garand. You may be waiting awhile

Amen. I'm coming up on two months waiting for some boxed HXP. I'm starting to think that it really comes in Magpul clips

Do you have any clips?  If not, order some with clips.

Get a can or two with clips then another two cans without.

I still have quite a few sealed spam cans both with and without the clips, but every one I have opened has been like brand new ammo.
