| I just received confirmation that my order for a service grade Garand is being processed. I want to know should i order ammo with or without the clips for it? Thanks |
| The boxed stuff will probably show some light corrosion from the cardboard. Boxed is a little cheaper per round, but the value of the clips and bandos more than offset the price difference. FWIW, if you get late-headstamp HXP (post 70-ish) the clips will be Greek made, marked JMO. The JMO clips are designed to work with the wider, NATO-style extractor groove on late-headstamp brass. Quality is hit and miss with JMOs. As a result, they do not like the narrow extractor groove on early headstamp HXP or the US-made LC. Early headstamp HXP clips are mostly USGI and will work with the wide or narrow groove. |

Thanks I just got 10 cans of the "boxed" HXP marked "68" . Out of 2400 rounds, I discarded SEVEN (7) rounds !!! Pretty good ratio. The rest looked in great shape. |

If not, order some with clips. Get a can or two with clips then another two cans without. I still have quite a few sealed spam cans both with and without the clips, but every one I have opened has been like brand new ammo. |
