If you purchased one, what's your impression? Any info would be appreciated.

I don't have one but while it's a nice gun the "Special" it's a rebuilt Garand with two major parts - barrel & stock being current commercial components & not USGI. A competant gunsmith can do the same work.
For nearly the same price CMP offers the "correct" grade in pretty nice condition with stock & barrel being USGI. |
