I took a few pics of my newly delivered Correct Grade SA. I have not finished cleaning it. I guess you have to copy and paste to view. I hope it works

Thats the stock you were complaining about? Oh man you dont know how lucky you are. Yes it is definantly more banged up than some but twice as nice as some of the Correct Grades I have seen. Its exactly what the Correct Grade description states

You have to remember these are military surplus weapons that are over 50 years old. They will have some character and handling marks. If you want a perfect stock you could have bought a Service Grade and requested a commerciaql Boyds Stock. If the stock bothers you clean it up, steam out some of the dents and give her a few coats of Blo

That's a beautiful correct grade rifle.  Your stock is in great shape.

Thanks guys, CMP just called me today about returning my rifle to have the gas cylinder repaired on my correct grade. The cylinder will just slide right off with the slightest push with my finger. I spoke to Phil (Armorer) he said that the cylinder should be tight enough where it has to be tapped off and tapped on. He said he would take care of it as soon as the rifle gets to him. CMP is paying the round trip cost for sending and returning the rifle. Cant beat that.

I have one like that, one that looks worse, and one that looks new.  They vary quite a bit.
