Do I need to use a small base sizing die for my Garand? I do use small base dies for my military .308's and .223's.

No.

Why do you use one for the other calibers?

My LR.308 and my NDM86 will not chamber very well with standard dies. The chamber on my M4gery is also too tight for standard dies.

Garands don't need small dies.  Springfield M1As probably do.  My Polys don't seem to need small base 308 dies.

No..... Not unless you are having chambering issues with YOUR particular M1.

I use FL Dillon dies for .223 and .308 for my M1A and Bushy - no problems at all.  You may want to consder a case gage.

You probably don't have to be it wouldn't be the worst thing to have.  It would take one less variable out of a possible slam fire or out of battery discharge.  None of the M1's I have need small base but my OOW M1918A3 BAR only take small base resized brass.  You will have to trim your brass more often however with small base dies.
