| Anyone have/used one of these? I never have put a mount on mine, seems I read a lot of advice to forget about it and use the irons. But, I read something, somewhere a while back about the Bassett mount. I know, get a Sedlak/Enterprise/Arms! But these sound pretty fair for the money, just wanted some real world feedback. I've read some posts that people think they're great, but no body goes into any specifics when they recommend them. Greg |

Hey Coyote I just got one last week, and put it on in less than a minute on my SA loaded. I'm using burris signture zee rings, weaver style med high, Leupold 3-9x40 prostaff scope . Took it to the range this weekend, and zeroed it in. Put 50 rd's with the mount mounted, and than took it off. Put 50 more without it, and put it back on, and went right back to zero. I was shooting at 100 yd's. Fired total of 300 rd's, and did not shoot loose. I wish I had some pic's to show. I know I'm gona get flamed because of it. The Bassett is the cat's ass. Mounts with one bolt, and comes with the tool to mount it with. Like Art Luppino says " it's so simple it's scarry" I was going to put my Sadlak on, but instead i'm gona use it on my Norinco m-14, because it's receiver is in spec more than my SA. The bassett is on my SA loaded. Getting one inch groups. The Bassett will fit an out of scec receiver, and uses steel horiz, and vertical mounting splines. If I buy any more M1A'S i'm getting the Bassett again. You can go on The firing line, and do a search for Bassett, or just google it, and you wont find one single negative review about it. For $97 plus shipping you can't beat it. Stands up to the most expensive mount's. You can also email Romi and Bill Bassett with any qusetion's. I did, and they are great people with great cs. Just go to Bassettmachine.com. Hope this helps. For the record I have nothing to do with the sale of Bassett mount's. |
