While I have read up and understand the differences between 7.62 NATO and 308 Winchester, I do have a question. The user manual says that my Springfield M1A is chambered in 7.62 NATO. Their Web site advertises it as chambered both in 308 Winchester and 7.62 NATO. Is it fine to shoot both out of it? |
Read this and you may come to a conclusion... If you get a new rifle from SA it will have a tag that gives the head space measurement and it will work for both. My HS is 1.631 which is just right for both. |
