I would like to know what kind of accuracy should I expect out of a recently manufactured M1A Nation Match. I handload so I would be able to tailor a load as needed..I haven't bought one yet but I am trying to decide if it will be adequate, I would hate to buy one and regret it later..

Thanks for any input..

I have a rifle that I've upgraded to NM specs and it will do well under 1" consistently with my loads.

I'm going to shoot it in a couple of matches this year, if it doesn't hurt my numbers too badly.
I don't trust it like I do my AR.

I have a  National Match that I have shot several 1.5" groups with at 300 yds. If you are loading for it try 155 to 175 grain loads, my rilfe seems to really shoot well with loads in that range. The rifle is way more accurate than I am

Here is a picture of 10 shot groups at 100 yards. The top group is from a NM M1A with match 173 gr ammo, the bottom from a standard M1A.

That was done some years ago when I didn't need bifocals and was running two miles a day.
I can't do that now.
