I picked one up for $60. I don't know if I got ripped off or not... I know this mount is far from the best, but will it work for casual shooting? I'm not taking this overseas or anything, I was just looking for a cheap, practical way of scoping my M1A. |

It'll work. I've used the GENIII mount on mine without even using the rear bolt, just using the main mounting bolt. And I've gotten some decent groups. In fact, I think it worked better without mounting the rear part, I did that in the beginning. So, you may just like it. It's fine for plinking and casual shooting. Even though the others will give you crap, just try it out. You may find it lacking but you may not. Especially since you stated you're not going to be jumping out of airplanes or hummers with it. But they are pretty accurate with irons too. |
