I have used several models of Horus Vision scopes, and like them very much.  They use Japanese glass, looking through them is simlear to Lupy or Nikon to my eye.

I have a 1-4 power Talon I use for the last 3 months of my tour in Iraq (I mounted it on a M-4) and now have it mounted on a Fulton MK 14 clone.  Rugged little scope that survied some rough conditions and banged up a bit with out problems.  A good short range to mid range tactical scope I have used for room clearing (at 1 power its a simple circle and dot) out to 400 meters.  Back home I have used it with a PVS-14 and a monoloc system to take out some of the local varmits.

I also have a Falcon 4-16 power on a bolt gun and a Hawk 3-12 power I just picked up and mounted on a M1A loaded in a JAE-100 stock.  The reticles can be a bit busy if your not use to it, but with pratice becomes easier.  I prefer it to the old fashioned method of dialing in my dope.  The Falcon is a bit on the large and heavy side, but I like the illuminated reticle for low light shooting.  The Hawk is smaller and lighter with a simpler reticle, and will be zeroing and running through paces tommow.  While both appear soild I have not used and abused them like the Talon, so it more of a assumtion than a fact at this point.

They have software you can run on your PC or even a PDA to take into the field (you need to know ballistic coefficient and muzzle velocity of the load your using).  I use the soft ware to make a range card then double check the data at the range, so far it has worked very well for me as long I do my part.  I do not like the idea of packing a PDA in the field and the range card has work well so far and is faster for me.  511 tactical also make a couple models of watchs with balistic computers using Horus vision software.  I have tried them they work well and are handy, but for shots under 500 meters a good range card with your dope is faster for me.  In the past few months I started putting my mid range dope on the inside of a butler creek pop up eye peice cover so when I know the range I can look up what line to hold on and then shoot with out breaking my check to stock weld.  Which is a lot faster than anything were your have to dial your scope or sights.

They lent me a scope and PDA along with a specialty spiral barrel for the M16 in 2003 for work. Excellent system.
