I've been debating on getting some hand guards and cutting them into WW2 profile and then finishing and selling them at a decent price. Does anyone think there is a market for them? Right now I'm disabled and the feds give me 460 dollars a month so I'm looking to supplement my income a bit, but I cannot work a regular job. I'm going to order a few front hand guards to work on then post some pictures for a critique. Thanks.

Hey if the price is right and they look good im sure they are plenty of folks with Repaired handguards that would not mind a new set..

Lymie, let us know if you find a source. I tried to do this also but have been only able to get a couple sets. I have had better luck refinishing buttstocks as there are more around and you can charge a bit more for your effort.

Will do, I wont do anything but Boyd's tho. They take more effort but they are inexpensive and seem to have a good fit. The other places I found want 20-40 per handguard.
