| I REALLY want a garand but with the numbers shrinking of quality peices and the lack of ANY CMP affiliates in my area, does anyone have any opinions/info on the new modern versions? I know the no longer have the chrome bore, but thats not incredibly important to me. What about the modern parts? Cast, forged, as good as the old types? With crappy chinese copies that wont take GI parts, will SA's version take old GI parts? |

Step 1: join either the GCA, or The_Beer_Slayer's club Step 2: find a way (there are plenty) to cover the marksmanship requirement Step 3: buy from CMP Don't bullshit around with a copy. You can buy a rack grade garand and with a few parts swaps, have it shooting better than a SA ever can still for less than the SA |
