Anybody using one of these? I am thinking about getting and mounting a TA11. |
| Yes, quite a few Army RA units, several USN surface combattants and shortly, quite a few NG units. Use with TA11's is quite prevalent, but production is catching up with the TA-55A, so more units are getting those, hence the increased demand for the mount. I have one on an M14SE (LRB receiver) with TA55A. Very sweet. |
It does sit high when you use the ACOG flat top mount and the SEI rail, but...  ... you can remove the mount and rail, this puts the optic down low.  |
That was a TA31F on loan fron Steve Troy. It is made for an AR and has a super short eye relief of one and a half inches. I have returned the ACOG to TROY and I sold the mount - I like the EOTECH for my needs. Anyway, both the TA11E with 2.40" and the TA55A with 2.20" of eye relief are the hot ticket. IMHO, the best mount for the ACOG on an M14 is the new TROY MCS that will start shipping this month. This stock turns the M14 into a flat top much like an AR-10  |
