Ordered some winnie parts from Orion7 on MONDAY and they were delivered today.  Couldnt ask for more, and to top it off their customer service over the phone was WAAAY better than Sarco.

Orion 7 rebarreled my M1 several years ago.

I would never hesitate to do business with them again.

BTW, has Tony got back into 'smithing again? He got out of it and focused on selling parts.

not sure, we didnt talk smithing, just parts.  He seemed very knowlegable and i could see the through the phone when I told him i was ordering winnie parts without a receiver to go with them, but he helped me out nonetheless.  He sent me all parts which are correct for eachother, so I'll have to do my part and get a receiver in the correct SN range.  I'll definately keep him in mind when it comes time to do the smith work that this rifle will require.

Yeah, Orion 7 is pretty good.  I've only ordered stuff from them once (the only time I've ever really ordered parts) but I remember them being very nice and the ship time being very fast.  +1

Thier op-rod springs are in every one of my "shooting" garands.
They're great.

I need to order one of his springs.

N/T, Tony gave up 'smithing some time ago. I don't remember now just why. Bullshit from customers. Or maybe insurance reasons. B/S dealing with local walls laws....guess I'm feeling a bit dyslexic today . I just don't recall. But I do remember there was talk he may start up again. He's a first rate Garandsmith if you can get him to do it.

Yeah, he put a 308 barrel on a IHC stripped reciever for me back when the CMP had them.

It shot great.
