So we all know Fulton M-14SA's are the shit, but I'm looking into getting my first Garand and I'm strongly considering one. I would get a CMP Garand, but I just want a brand new, unfired and ready to go rifle.

Anyone own of these or has something to say?

make a road trip and get a collector grade.  THAT'S a new garand!

The few Fultons that I have handled really made me want one......but shooting my WWII Garands are just the greatest. Theres just something different firing these 'ole warrifles compared to the new ones. (comparing my SA M1As as the new ones)

I guess its just nostalgia. But if you have the funds for a Fulton Garand then get it. I am sure that you will be pleased.

Good luck,

Are the collector grades still around, I've heard they were sold out.

give the store a call.  LARRYG got a correct grade H&R last week and that's 90% the next best thing

Rough gestimate is about 12 of each left, Correct and Collectors.  All the Collectors are Springfield and all the Corrects are H&R.

What's a Fulton M-14SA?   I have heard all good things about Fulton's M14s.  That's why I have one coming from a gunbroker auction and am waiting for the one I ordered from Fulton.  Might be a long wait for the one ordered from Fulton but now I don't care because I have one coming.
Back to the Garand.  I have a CMP collector but bought a Fulton for the same reason you want one.  Brand new.  The collector is a nice piece of history but there is a trade off.  The Fulton goes to the range with me and it was sure nice to get a new rifle that I could just take to the range.  Looks beautiful also.  BTW, my Fulton has a 1944 SA forged receiver, chrome barrel, NM trigger.  It's a nice piece and looks great.  Shoots even better.  I am going to take heat for this but if I had a choice of the Collector or Fulton I would take the Fulton.  Glad I don't have to make that choice.  I made the cut for a service grade from CMP that will go to the range with me also.  Good luck on your decision.

Not to be a nit picker but Fulton calls it a M14 and SA calls it a M1A. Both semi autos.

Not a problem.  Everything in the world seems to be numbers and letters these days.  It's hard to keep track.
Example, instead of Hemi-Cudas these days they are SRT8s etc.  Do you have a Cuda?  I'm a car guy myself.  Looked for years for the right 66 GTO and couldn't find it so I bought a new LS2 Goat.  Not as cool but very fast and up to date.  It's asleep for the winter next to the Vette.

Unfortunately, I don't.

I currently own a 70 Chevelle SS with a ZZ572.

My first car was a 69 GTO, loved that thing.
