I can't get my KAC RAS rear clip to fit in the grooves of my barrel of my Pre-94 scout barrel. I've tried persuading it with a hammer, but it won't go. It's not even close enough to put the screw in slightly crooked. I tried installing it with just the side screw, but the top is uneven. Any suggestions?

is it a heavy barrel?

KAC will not fit on an Hbar barrel without A LOT of work

I don't think so, it's just thestandard 18.5" Geneso, IL barrel that came on the Scout, the top portion where the attachment goes seems just ever so slightly too thick.

I'm not a smith, but it sounds like you barrel isn't timed correctly.
Or the grooves that the rear mount fits into are not cut in the correct place.

I have a KAC RAS and it fits on my ChiComs and all US made standard profile
barrels without any issues.
