I picked up a few at a show for $18 a piece. Seemed like decent price. Checked them out and they seem decent. I have a few used green mags that seem better constructed. The dealer stated that these were Winchester. There is a weak "W" stamped on the rear of the mag. What do you think? http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o202/jdpunt/mag1.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o202/jdpunt/mag2.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o202/jdpunt/mag3.jpg http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o202/jdpunt/mag4.jpg |
Couldn't have said it any better. |
| What NT said. It's not USGI contract manufacture. The weld dimple pattern on the front side is a dead giveaway. If it works, great. If not, buy CMI M14 magazines from www.armalite.com or www.44mag.com |
ArmaLite is selling those things for $25 each and they are damn nice mags. |

Those are NOT checkmate mags, they are POS garbage mags, the spotwelds up the spline are off center, too small, and too few. Probably USA mag grade crap. Sorry. Try em, if they work you are lucky, they will probably only be good for target practice. W marked mags are very VERY faked. Suspect ANY W marked mag as possibly fake, and if it's under $20 it probably IS. |
| Another tell tale sign that this mag is a fake. Look at the cage code/sticker!!!!!!!!!! Thats a modern laser printer tag. They did not have them back when the mag was supposedly made. If you see those tags , it is a sure sign it's fake.It could however be a repack. |
