It's official, I have sold my first garand.  it kills me to let it go, but there are two bright sides.

1.  I sold it to someone I know and i trust this person to respect that awesome rifle and treat it with the care it deserves.
2. I am using the $ to fund a H&R CG

I'm an LT in the USAF.... the problem is i DON'T have a lot of money for toys, I just spend like i do.  I was at CMP south on Friday and had to move on the CG's when they said that the dozen on the shelf were the last dozen that they had.  i had planned to wait till feb when i could afford it without holding a fire sale, but circumstances conspired against me

yeah I bet he could put a nice light and laser mount and a forward pistol grip on it.

....and now you won't have a genuine WWII battle rifle, just a post war and even too late for the korean war to boot.

BTW, I've ordered a service grade barreled action to build my HRA.  It looks like by the time I'm done I'll have spent more than you for a mismatch!
