I had been putting this off because I have been busy at work but I left 5 am and was there when they opened. They were not very busy until about 10:30 when I left. I looked things over pretty good as I had no schedule. I saw no cartouched stocks other than 8 to 10 DOD 1/2 in eagles.

The stocked rifles that I gauged I found a couple under 3 on the TE but most 3to5.

The woodless danes however had 10 to 12 under 2. Saw 1 with a Win bolt and 1 with a Win trigger housing another had an uncut oprod. Several with 90% finishes. I found 1 FG with a nicely figured walnut stock with hardly any dings and a decent barrel, but I passed. One FG had a strange reddish finish all through the receiver.

I ended up with 3 woodless danes. One is a '43 receiver and '43 barrell. I will give a closer look tonight but the barrel gauged about 1.5 MW and 2 TE. Pretty much all SA parts.

The second had a '51 barrel and lockbars, could not pass it up and it only gauged 2.5 TE. Finish was fair. It has a PB bolt.

The 3rd I got was a 6 digit with decent finish all SA parts and  gauged a 2 MW and 2 TE. It dripped cosmo/oil on the paperwork as they were bagging things up.

Some very nice barreled receivers with new park. I did not look these over to close but I dropped a gauge down a few and was surprised that some gauged 2.5. I expected them to gauge as new.

Pretty good way to spend a Sat. Stopped off at Cabelas on the way home just to top things off.

I am waiting on 2 cherry blanks I sent off to get cut into Garand stocks. I will post some pics when they are finished. Should be showing up about any day.
