Ok at the risk of sounding stupid...well I already have, but what is the purpose of the handle/tool of the M10 cleaning kit. I figure that one end is for taking off the gas cylinder lock screw. But what is the other end for or does it even have a purpose?

Among it's various uses as a screwdriver, it's also used for stripping the bolt.

battlerifles.com had an old thread with a tutorial on how it's used. The screwdriver end goes in the chamber while the bolt face is closed on the opposite end. The cleaning rod is screwed into it's position on the handle and is used to rotate the handle and lift the extractor out.

The M10 cleaning rod handle also serves some of the same purposes the M3-A1 Combination Tool does.

The end with the screwdriver installs and removes the gas cylinder lock screw, and adjusts the rear sight tension.  It also serves as a general purpose screwdriver.

The other end can be used to disassemble the bolt while it OUT of the rifle or while it's IN the rifle.

To dissemble the bolt IN the rifle, screw one cleaning rod section to the handle.
Open the bolt and insert the screwdriver end of the M10 into the chamber with the small "blade" on the rear of the tool facing to the right with the cleaning rod handle facing to the right.
Gently close the bolt, then push the op rod handle forward against the spring tension of the ejector and hold it forward.
Lift the cleaning rod UP to rotate the M10 tool and the extractor will be unseated by the M10.
Slowly move the bolt to the rear and allow the ejector spring to expand.
Remove the extractor and it's spring and plunger, remove the ejector and spring, and remove the firing pin from the bolt.

To reassemble, install the firing pin, put the ejector and spring in the bolt, install the extractor spring and plunger.
Put the M10 back in the chamber, gently close the bolt making sure the ejector and spring are compressed into the bolt hole.
Push the op rod handle forward to push the ejector into it's hole and hold it.
Push the extractor into the bolt.

To disassemble the bolt OUT of the rifle with the M10.
Put a finger over the front of the bolt to catch the ejector.
Use the screwdriver end to pry the extractor up, out of the bolt.
This releases the firing pin, and ejector and spring.

To reassemble OUT of the rifle.
Install the firing pin, the ejector and spring and the extractor spring and plunger.
Press the extractor into it's hole until it "just" starts to ride over the extractor plunger.
Hold the bolt in the LEFT hand with the LEFT thumb over the extractor.
Put the lugged face of the M10 tool over the front of the bolt so the small cut out section will fit over the ejector and the small blade lines up between the  bottom of the extractor and the lower cartridge seat flange on the bolt.
Press down on the cleaning rod handle attached to the M10 tool until the ejector is forced into it's hole, and at the same time press the extractor down with your LEFT thumb until lit seats in the bolt.

Thanks to you both for the enlightenment. I knew it did something other than serve as a handle but I had no idea what. Thanks again for the quick response.
