I have an M1A Scout rifle .I recently have been able to use and evaluate a Bushnell holosight N battrey type.Seems to work real well if I do my part.Getting used to it was the most difficult thing.Any opinions on this sight would be appreciated.

When I had my scout, I used my EoTech quite a bit.  I never had any problems with it at all.  I can highly recommend it.  IMO, the only shortcoming with a red dot sight is long distance shooting.  You might want a magnified optic for anything way out there.

If you like the EoTech/Bushnell, you will LOVE a real Scout scope.  I suspect that the problems you had "getting used to it" were caused by the Eo's too-high position.  A Scout scope would be much lower, and much more natural.

Plus, with the right Scout scope, retucular hold-overs out to 500 yds are do-able.

Works for me.  Here's my Scout with a scout scope.  I tried an EOTech, but put it back where it belongs, on an AR.
