Any suggestions for stopping my M14 from denting the hell out of my leupold's windage knob??  I'm thinking of putting texturing on it.  I heard this was normal.

2 options: live with it or put the fuzzy side of velcro on it.

For some reason these rifles are anti-scope!!!

Make it into a scout: www.lhup.edu/dfisher/bm5902.jpg

Right now it's my DMR weapon.  Very close to a Crazy Horse.  All the smith parts you could shake a stick at.  :-)
So, no interest in going the scout route.

I think I'm going to put texturing on the turrets where there isn't numbers.  Kindof like truck bed liner.  It should aid in grip and protect the metal from being too damaged to be usable.

I was really interested in seeing if it were something wrong with my gun.

You can mess around with the ejector spring length 1/2 a coil at a time to see if you can make it clear.
