Hey guys, I just got my service grade Greek HRA today! It is ser. 5,554,57X and has a 12-54 bbl.  Do any of yall know if this is correct and what other parts are supposed to be, as far as drawing numbers?

Also any idea what month and year the rifle is?  It looks new, other than the dings on the stock and a Springfield Armory op rod and trigger housing.  I think i got a good one here, I just have the questions on the mfg date and correct parts.

I appreciate the help!

Sounds like the barrel is correct.. but all the parts should be HRA for that late of a serial number.. the early HRA's had as correct parts, a mix of SA parts.

If you bought it directly from the CMP, they will do the background check, you must submit a 10-finger fingerprint card, and have little question notarized, and sent in to the CMP, after that you Garand will arrive at your door via registered USPS.

Finger print card? background check?

They need a copy of a C&R and you need to belong to one of their affiliated orginazations.i.e Garand Collectors Association. And you still need to send in a notorized document.

BTW they ship them FEDEX overnight air, guaranteed delivery nextday 10 am. I just got two last week.

You're F.O.S. on the fingerprint card, and the only way CMP ships rifles is via FED-EX.

You do need a C&R license to have the rifle shipped to your house.

Put that in your crackpipe and smoke it!

If you need a C&R, then explain how I got 5 M1 garands and a 1903A3 sent to my door right here in the PRK?!?! All I needed to do was to take a handgun saftety class, send them the cert., notarized form and join the GCA.  Fedex shipped them. I do not have a C&R or a 01FFL.

Before posting again, figure out what the hell you are talking about, otherwise you just look like a tard.

Go to the CMP site and find out the truth.

You DO NOT need ANY license to have a rifle shipped to your house by CMP.  It's a different animal from buying from a regular dealer.

Simply follow the procedures posted on CMP's web site, and your rifle will be delivered by FedEx through their "Courier" service-a fancy name for a very tightly controlled (and fast) delivery system.

You really should research before you make an ASS out of yourself.

A C&R is one way, not the only way and NOT required.

They run a NCIS criminal check before shipping and they ship FEDEX.

Why are there so many know-it-all weisenheimers on this sight.  It's starting to depress me.  But then again, I'm probably one of them part of the sometimes.  But it just seems sometimes that people the know the least are the most convicted about it.  That's dangerous.

As they've said, you don't need a c&r license.  Go to their website.  You found this one.

I apoligize. My understanding through e-mails with their customer service was I needed a C&R license which was no biggie since I already had one.

Yes  I was wrong.

P.S.          I don't smoke
