How do I mount a Harris bi-pod on the M-14? I have what appears to be a hole in the stock just in front of the front sling mount. Is there a stud that I can install in that hole?

The hole you see is referred to as a "vent/drain hole". I'd place the mount elsewhere. YMMV.
