I'll be shooting my first service rifle competition next week. I'm shooting a match m1a. I've got 1moa elevation clicks with 1/2 moa adjustment using the arpeture. I was wondering if any of you could tell how many clicks you are coming up from a 200 yd zero for 300yds and 600yds. I am shooting handloads with 168gr sierra's going about 2600 to 2610 fps. Any tips or info will be appreciated.

I don't understand "1moa elevation clicks with 1/2 moa adj.using the aperature.Do ya mean 1" elevation adj. and 1/2" windage adj.???????
Std sights have 1"adj. and match sights have 1/2"adj. Which do ya have.I SHOOT HIGHPOWER RIFLE with a supermatch M1A (Kreiger heavy barrel,Mcmillan stock,etc.)I can give you the range adj. for each distance.Also, mil.-spec. is 2550fps on match ammo. using 168 grain bullet.

my come ups are as follows:
200-300 4.5 clicks
300-600 11 clicks
my ammo is handloaded 168gr SMK's and 39.5gr Varget,and for 200 and 300yds the velocity is 2390fps and for 600yds, I use the 175gr SMK and 42.5gr Varget for a velocity of 2570fps. my come ups will get you on paper, you;ll need to fine tune these to suit your rifle...

HighPowerShoote is on the money...
my 200 yd is +8 up from the bottom.
my come ups are as follows:
300 6 clicks
600 12 clicks

You are confused..

Match M1a/14 rear sights are still 1 min clicks for elevation, you get the 1/2 min by rotating the rear sight apature,sight hood notch up is 1/2 up , notch down is 1/2 min down .

I'm not confused.I just forgot about the 1/2"

adj. for turning the aperature.It's hard

sometimes to remember everything.
