I put in a form 1 on a 7" can to mainly be used on my VZ-61 in 32acp   I had planned on using one of the aluminum c cell tubes from SD tactical and drilling the baffles out at .34as well as the end cap.

Would I be better off using a steel or Ti tube for this?
Do I need to make the first bit a blast chamber?   Maybe a 2" spacer for a blast chamber made of thin wall stainless?
What kind of baffles to use?  k, m, freeze plugs?  something else?

You mean D cell right?

The C Cell is normally aluminum for 22 as I recall, it should work fine with the anemic .32

I would use Titanium. Blast chamber maybe one inch, it won't require a large BC, maybe 3/4", stainless or even Titanium for the spacer but I doubt you will find Ti spacer in C diameter??

I will let someone else comment on the best baffles, freeze plugs would be cheapest.

Another resource - take a look at the Form 1 Boards, lots of good info there.

ETA Maybe look at the DM 22 kits and poolshark cones (Diversified Machine & Zmachineworx)

No   C cell    the smaller one    32 is so low power figured it didn't need the size of the D which comes close to blocking the sights

Thanks Bgene I'll look at that

If I did move up to a d cell size TI I could use the same can on a 308 and down size round?

If .32acp is around .32" bore you would need can bored at .375" or more.  The smaller size will hurt you, the C tube is pretty thick so ID is only 1" or so.  DM should have a variety of tubes in stock (AL and Ti) and the AL ones if he still does can ordered (custom) with thinner walls, he has 80% SS cones instock for $12ea if you add to notes on order.  RoninPro has stuff on website, he is a member here and has a kit.  The SNE tubes on amazon (AL) are between the SDTA and DM tubes in quality and cheaper than both ($40 complete).  These little tubes will not be suitable for the larger caliber rounds that have more pressure, if you want to do this with the 1.25" AL tubes just have it for the .32acp and 22lr.  Centerfire rifle cans are best built with 1.375" Ti tubes but the cost goes up of course.

I'm not so much worried about cost    The main use for this can will be on my VZ-61 but if I could make is serve double duty on a 556 or 300 blk that would be great    I had figured on boring it out >.35  may move up to .38 or so.   Biggest reason I was going to use the C cell from SD tactical is a buddy gave me one but more I think about it might be worthwhile to move up in size to get more usefulness out of it.

A lot of top performing cans for 9mm will work well on 32acp. So, follow those principles in your build.
I wouldn't use this can for 5.56 as high pressure rifle rounds act completely different than low pressure pistol.

This being said, a well built K-Baffled design, shot wet, will offer the best suppression on 32acp.
