I'm going from memory here and may be a bit off.  You'll know what to do when you see it.

Inside the receiver, there is a piece attached to the selector shaft that engages the trigger group.  Its construction is a slotted plate riveted to a thin steel flat spring (like a sandwich).  Carefully pry the spring off the slector shaft end.  When it clears that point, the assembly slides off the selector, which can then be removed from the receiver stub.
