I have some preban Mini 14 magazines.  They are from before the 1994 ban and still in the original box and wrapping.  They are the "U.S.A. Magazine" type magazine, the ones with the US flag on the box or packing.  Does anyone have experience with these?  Are they any good?

I have some for the Mini 14 and some for the M1A........total junk.   I bought about 6 mags for each, used one of each, and loaded both.  Upon function testing, both would feed the first few rounds, then the springs wouldn't lift the rounds up.  On both mags, the springs compressed and wouln't spring back.  SO, I put the rest of the mags back on my shelf in a box and still have all 12.  Felt guilty about pawning those pieces of junk off on anyone.  I just leave them there as a reminder to buy quality or don't buy at all.

Just my personal experience.  HOPEFULLY they have gotten better since the mid '90's , but I will never know cause I will never buy another.

They are excellent mags..............................for target practice.
Seriously they can be made to work by grinding down the front lip of the mag to a ramp or raising the hole in front so they sit lower. But theyre still range mags.
