In-state: Form 4 directly to the buyer
Out-of-state: Form 4 to dealer in buyer's state...after that's approved, second Form 4 to buyer And that's why there's no much of a used NFA market out of state, other than MGs. |

Yes, the engraving is bad for resale value, in addition to the 2x transfers (out-of-state). When you SBR something, it's basically yours for life, unless you want to let it go at a loss. Factory SBRs hold a little more value (because no additional engraving is added) but not much more.

For AR's in particular, you're better off parting it out. You can also de-list it if you're really desperate.
I can't say I recommend offloading tax stamps like that, though. |
