I have a 9mm AR built on a RRA Lower with mag block.  The lower is factory engraved with the 5.56 caliber.  If I wanted to build a 9mm SBR using this lower with a Form 1, what would I do about the engraving of the caliber.  I know I could build a 5.56 SBR then swap uppers into a 9mm, but I do not want to spend the money on the 5.56 parts right now.  Anyone dealt with this?  Thanks.

Personally, I'd just register it as marked - 5.56.

You don't needed to buy the rest of the parts to register it, and you are using a mag block, anyway. So what if you happen to run it as 9mm most of the time, initially?

If you are going to build it as a 9mm, register it as a 9mm.

You have two choices after that, engrave 9mm on the lower, or engrave the barrel (sometimes the barrel is already marked with the caliber)

This. The barrel is most likely marked, and if it isn't, just get 9mm engraved on the underside.

OK thanks.  This is kind of what I thought, but I didn't know if the 5.56 on the lower would be an issue.  Appreciate the help.
