I filled out a Form 1 for a SBR build earlier this week before the 13th.  Just realized I made a mistake on OAL!!! I put 28 instead 25, my truck driver thumbs must've hit 8 on the keypad instead of 5.  Is this mistake correctable?  And will it screw up my submission? I tried to access the "ask the experts" on the old Eforms page but its down now.

All good, unless you made a different mistake also.

Won't matter as long as it's plausible; the ATF a) doesn't know what you're building and b) doesn't really care.

This pretty much sums it up.  I only worried about length on my first one, the next dozen were pretty much guestimates.

I just figured they may get technical.  Being their definition is 26" or shorter

Yup, as above. Put whatever length upper you want after the stamp comes. Assuming we're talking AR's.

Think the OAL length on all of mine is 26" anyway. You've got to be under 8" barrel to get an AR OAL to be 26" I believe.  Just not much in the way of rifle calibers that stay reliable and don't beat themselves up that short.

Anyway, don't think it's an issue.

Just an FYI I contacted ATF and they did make the correction on my electronic submission.  Of course they added "you won't see the change until the final decision is rendered"

^^^Standard answer I'm sure they give
