Do I need to send in one copy of my Form 1 or two for an SBR?  My dealer helped me fill out the forms but he gave me two copies so I just want to make sure I don't fuck it up.

Thanks.

Two, and they should be printed double-sided. And it wouldn't hurt you to actually read the form and instructions. At the top of page 1, you'd have found your answer.

ETA: also, are they the current forms, or previous form? You'll be able to tell because the new ones have a page 3 for payment options, including using a CC

Yup, there it is, submit in duplicate.  My dealer filled out the forms for me the last time I was in to by a silencer and he gave me two copies. Just wanted to make sure.

Talk with your dealer, they should assist you 100% in getting the forms done and mailed off correctly.

Hell, most dealers only need the buyer to sign and that's it, they do everything else without
us having to lift a finger. The Silencer Shop is one of them, great customer service.

You should read his title and post again...

He's filing a Form 1 for an SBR. Usually not a dealer involved at all.

Your dealer doesn't help you with other ATF forms?
Maybe you should find a new dealer.  Every one I've dealt
with have been insanely helpful, even with form 1's.
We're all on the same side here, why wouldn't they assist?

Pretty sure I don't need to find a new dealer.

Plus, I take the time to read the instructions on a form...which seems to be different from about 95% of the people that ask questions about filling them out.

For that matter, I have dealers and lawyers from across the country (including several really popular ones around this place) call/email/PM me asking questions about how to fill out forms...especially if it's an F1, which they rarely have to deal with.

ETA: and for the record, my go-to suppressor dealer does help people with F1s if needed

I was planning on e-filing for the form 1 but while doing a form 4 for a suppressor I mentioned it and he offered to generate the completed forms. Figured he knew what he was doing, versus me obviously, so that is what I did. That was a month ago so in that time I forgot if I needed both forms.
