I were to legally purchase a rifle in a FTF transaction in my state, would I run into an issue if I were to SBR it? Do I need to have it "transferred" into my name? Or is it a non issue.

The OP is describing a FTF sale of a title 1 rifle, which once he has purchased he plans to make into and SBR. As stated above OP, Ohio has no firearm registry. You can make a >16" barreled rifle into an SBR whether you bought it at an FFL, face-to-face from a private citizen, or made it yourself from scratch, etc. |
