| I dropped off a form 1 to local LEO to have signed and for length and what not I put it for an 11.5" 5.56, well I decided not to keep that but may still SBR the lower. I'm really wanting to do a super short 22lr build and wondered what would need to be done? Do you have to keep the original configuration? |

Let it ride, get the stamp, then build what you want. You can notify the ATF of the change after the fact if you feel so inclined, but there is no legal requirement. This. But you have to build what the Form 1 says first. Or you can write ATF, cancel the Form 1, wait 4 months for a refund, and in the meantime file a new F1 for what you want. |

No need to cancel and file again. You can notify them before you build it that you want to initially build it differently than the F1 specs. |

My original F1 was rejected because I can't read, and that refund was deposited back into my account after two weeks. |
