| So I have a trust for a suppressor and am about to send the paperwork in for an sbr. On my last page is the "SCHEDULE OF FIREARMS PROPERTY" numbered list with the suppressor on #1 obviously. Do I just add the sbr info on the #2 spot when I submit it with my sbr paperwork? Do I need to get that spot notarized or anything? That page itself isn't notarized, just the first page. |

I think it really depends on your state laws. In TX, a trust must be funded to be valid (has to hold something). So when I originally created my trust I had a schedule A with a dollar bill. I have a separate sheet after that with a list of all property held by the trust. I update that whenever I get a stamp approved. But the original schedule A stays the same. When I submit a new form 1 to the ATF, I just send them the original with just the schedule A with just that dollar listed. I don't send them my list of assets I've added since then.
I just got a form 1 back approved and I had a form 4 awhile back approved as well. |
| I always submit an Assignment of property with my Trust, that shows the item has been given over to the Trust AND my Schedule A, which shows all of my NFA items in the trust. Since it's not an NFA item yet, until it gets approved, I always put something like "Daniel Defense Stripped Lower Receiver" or "Nodak Spud AK74 Receiver" on both of these documents, along with the serial no., etc. Others have gotten approved without submitting it this way, but IMO it eliminates the possibility of getting declined because it removes all doubt that the trust owns the item. Neither of these gets notorized. Once the Stamp comes back, I go back and change my Sched A to say "Daniel Defense SBR" or "Nodak Spud SBR". Hope this helps. |

It really doesn't matter - several people on here have sent the same "Schedule of Property" for every form they have sent in. It's not an issue. I only add them to my schedule after I get the tax stamp back. Have a good weekend, Bob S. Right....this..^. I only add NFA items to my Schedule A once the form 4 is approved and I have the Tax Stamp. Other non NFA weapons are added to the Schedule A as I acquire them. |

No schedule A. Just Trust and Assignment and I've had no delays on several Form 1s.
